Welcome to Torah.Global. We are thrilled you are here and give you a very warm welcome and Shalom! Torah.Global is an online social community where members can search for other members, make contact, and interact in user-created groups. Our mission is to connect Torah observant communities across the globe while strengthening and encouraging one another as we follow the Risen Messiah (Hebrews 10:25). To that end, we have created these Terms of Service to create an uplifting and fruitful experience, not only for you but also for those you interact with.
1. Introduction
Terms of Use, the Privacy Policy and all policies posted on our site set out the terms on which we offer you access to and use of our site, services, applications and tools (collectively “Services”). All policies and the Privacy Policy are incorporated into these Terms of Use. You agree to comply with the full Terms of Use when accessing or using our Services. 9. Abusing Torah.Global Services
Torah.Global works to keep the Services working properly and the community safe. Please report problems, offensive content and policy breaches to us at admin@Torah.Global.
You are solely responsible for all information that you give to Torah.Global and any consequences that may result from your posts. We can at our discretion refuse, delete or take down content that we think is inappropriate or breaching these Terms of Use. We also can at our discretion restrict a user’s usage of the Services either temporarily or permanently, or refuse a user’s registration.
Without limiting other remedies, we may issue warnings, limit or terminate our Services, remove hosted content and take technical and legal steps to keep users off the Services if we think that they are creating problems or acting inconsistently with the letter or spirit of our policies. However, whether we take any of these steps, we don’t accept any liability for monitoring the Services or for unauthorized or unlawful content on the Services or use of the Services by users. You also accept that Torah.Global is not under any obligation to monitor any data or content which is submitted to or available on the Services.

We may remove your ad if it is flagged on any of our sites, or if we believe it causes problems or violates any law or policy.

Using the Services is generally free. We may sometimes charge a fee for certain features or Services. If the feature you use incurs a fee, you will be able to review and accept that charge before purchase. Our fees are quoted in United States Dollar, and we may sometimes change them. We’ll notify you of changes to our fees by posting the changes on the site.
We may sometimes temporarily change our fees for testing purposes, promotional events or new features, these changes take effect from the time the price change is posted to the site. Our fees are non-refundable after the feature is supplied, and you are responsible for paying them when they are due. If you don’t, we may limit your ability to use the Services.
You agree to provide accurate information necessary for Torah.Global to comply with our obligations under applicable law. You are solely responsible for collecting and remitting any applicable taxes resulting from the sale of your items or services listed on Torah.Global’s Services.

Torah.Global’s Services contain content from us, you, and other users. Torah.Global is protected by copyright laws and international treaties. Content displayed on or via the Services is protected as a collective work and/or compilation, pursuant to copyrights laws and international conventions. You agree not to copy, distribute the Services or modify content from the Services, our trademarks or copyrights without our express written consent. You may not disassemble or decompile, reverse engineer or otherwise attempt to discover any source code contained in the Services. Without limiting the foregoing, you agree not to reproduce, copy, sell, resell, or exploit for any purposes any aspect of the Services (other than your own content).
When you give us content, including pictures, you grant us and represent that you have the right to grant us, a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sub-licensable (through multiple tiers) right to exercise any and all copyright, publicity, trademarks, design, database and intellectual property rights to that content, in any media whether now known or to be discovered in the future, including third party sites and applications. You also waive all moral rights you have in the content to the fullest extent permitted by law. We reserve the right to remove content where we have grounds for suspecting the violation of these terms or the rights of any other party.
13. Reporting Intellectual Property Infringements (Verified Rights Owners – VeRO)
Do not post content that infringes the rights of third parties. This includes, but is not limited to, content that infringes on intellectual property rights such as copyright and trademark (e.g. offering counterfeit items for sale). We can remove content where we have grounds for suspecting the violation of these terms, our policies or of any party’s rights. If you have a good faith belief that a listing on any of the Services infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, contact us at admin@Torah.Global. Only the intellectual property rights owner can report potentially infringing items or listings. We can share, in accordance with applicable law, the completed NOCI form with the third party that originally posted the potentially infringing listing.
14. Legal and Financial Advice
You acknowledge and agree that you have the opportunity to obtain independent legal and financial advice from appropriately qualified professional advisers and that you take into account your personal objectives, financial situation and needs before buying or selling an item via our Services.
15. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms of Use (including this clause) excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or statutory guarantees that you may have under applicable laws that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified, including any such rights or statutory guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
To the extent that these Terms of Use are found to exclude, restrict or modify any such rights or statutory guarantees, those rights and/or statutory guarantees prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. You agree not to hold us responsible for things other users post or do. As most of the content on the Services comes from other users, we do not guarantee the accuracy of postings or user communications or the quality, safety, or legality of what is offered.
We also cannot guarantee continuous or secure access to our Services. While we will use reasonable efforts to maintain an uninterrupted service, we cannot guarantee this and, to the extent permitted by law, we do not give any promises or warranties (whether express or implied) about the availability of our Services or that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free. Notification functionality in the Services may not occur in real time. That functionality is subject to delays beyond our control, including without limitation, delays or latency due to your physical location or your wireless data service provider’s network.

16. Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold harmless Torah.Global and our affiliates and our and their respective officers, directors, agents and employees (each an “Indemnified Party”), from any claim made by any third party, together with any amounts payable to the third party whether in settlement or as may otherwise be awarded, and reasonable legal costs incurred by any of the Indemnified Parties, arising from or relating to your use of the Services, any alleged violation by you of the applicable terms, and any alleged violation by you of any applicable law or regulation. We reserve the right, at our own expense, to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, but doing so will not excuse your indemnity obligations.

If you have a dispute with one or more Torah.Global users, you release us (and our officers, directors, agents, subsidiaries, joint ventures and employees) from any and all claims, demands and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known or unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes.

By using the Services, you agree to the collection, transfer, storage and use of your personal information by us (the “data controller”) on servers located in the United States and in the European Union.
19. Severability
If a provision of these Terms of Use is illegal or unenforceable in any relevant jurisdiction, it may be severed for the purposes of that jurisdiction without affecting the enforceability of the other provisions of these Terms of Use.
General. These Terms of Use and the other policies posted on the Services set out the entire agreement between Torah.Global and you, overriding any prior agreements. From 4 February 2023, this agreement is governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia. We both submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tasmania, Australia. If we don’t enforce any particular provision, we are not waiving our right to do so later. If a court strikes down any of these Terms of Use, the remaining terms will survive. We may automatically assign this agreement in our sole discretion in accordance with the notice provision below (our assignment to an affiliate will not require notice). This Privacy Policy discloses the privacy practices for the Torah.Global website (collectively, the “Website” located at www.torah.global).We are committed to protecting your privacy online. Please read the following to learn what information we collect from you (the “User” or the “End User”) and how we use that information. 2. Types of Information Collected and Uses of Collected Information
We collect two types of information about our Website Users: Personally Identifiable Information and Non-Personally Identifiable Information.
Personally Identifiable Information. Personally Identifiable Information is information that identifies a specific End User. When you engage in certain activities on the Website, such as your name and email address.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information. Non-Personally Identifiable Information is information that does not identify a specific End User. This type of information may include things like the Uniform Resource Locator (“URL”) of the website you visited before coming to our Website, the URL of the website you visit after leaving our Website, the type of browser you are using and your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address. Uses of Information
We use Personal (both Personally Identifiable and Non-Personally Identifiable) for a variety of reasons.
• To register for our fellowship finder.
• To communicate about your account and to provide customer support for those that email us or if there is an issue with an account.
• To communicate about happenings and projects at Torah.Global for those who have donated or signed up to receive updates.
• To enforce compliance with our Terms of Use, the Fellowship Finder, or other applicable legal situations such as copyright disputes.
• To meet legal requirements including complying with court orders, and other legal mechanisms.
• We use Non-Personally Identifiable Information to troubleshoot, administer the Website, analyse trends, gather demographic information, comply with applicable law, and cooperate with law enforcement activities. We and our partners may use various technologies to collect and store information when you visit our website or subscribe to our weekly emails. This includes using cookies, pixels, and web beacons that help us track who has opened our emails, clicked on links, etc. These and related technologies allow us to collect the recipient’s IP address, browser, email client type and other similar details. We then use this information to measure the performance of email campaigns and marketing strategies. Reports are also available to us when we send email to you, so we may collect and review that information.

We provide services and products through third parties. These “Third Party Service Providers” perform functions on our behalf, like sending out and distributing our administrative and promotional emails or products. We may share your Personally Identifiable Information with such Service Providers to send postal or email, remove repetitive information on customer lists, analyse data, provide marketing assistance, provide search results and links, process credit card payments, operate the Website, troubleshoot, and provide customer service.
We may share your information for our Protection and the Protection of Others. We reservethe right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Website; enforce or apply this Privacy Policy, our Website Terms of Use or other agreements; or protect the rights, property or safety of the Website, its Users or others.
4. Release of Non-Personally Identifiable Information
We may disclose or share Non-Personally Identifiable Information with Partners, Affiliates and Advertisers. For example, we may share aggregated demographic information (which does not include any Personally Identifiable Information) with “Third Party Advertisers” or “Third Party Advertising Companies” and other parties as provided below:
We also use Third Party Service Providers to track and analyse Non-Personally Identifiable usage and volume statistical information from our Users to administer our Website and constantly improve its quality. We may also publish this information for promotional purposes or as a representative audience for Advertisers. Please note that this is not Personally Identifiable Information, only general summaries of the activities of our Users. Such data is collected on our behalf, and is owned and used by us.
5. Updating, Correcting, and Removing Information
We believe that you should have the ability to access and edit the Personally Identifiable Information you provide us. You may change any of your Personally Identifiable Information by an email at admin@www.torah.global or writing to us at PO Box 7, Mowbray TAS 7248 AUSTRALIA. If the information change pertains to what was entered on to our Fellowship Finder/ Map, this information can be updated by logging into your account and editing your profile. We encourage you to promptly update your Personally Identifiable Information if it changes. You may ask to have the information on your account deleted or removed; however, because we keep track of past transactions, you cannot delete information associated with past transactions on the Website. In addition, in may be impossible for us to completely delete all of your information because we preform routine backups of our Website.
If you choose to store credit card information on the site, this is stored on a secure page and you may delete your credit card information at any time by going to the “my account” section of your profile.
6. User Choices on Collection and Use of Information
As discussed above, you can always choose not to provide information, although it may be required to engage in a certain activity on the Website.
As a condition of signing up for our Fellowship Finder/Map feature, we require your real first and last name and valid email address. For privacy reasons the Website will not display your last name. Instead, only your first name and chosen ‘alias’ will be displayed. By signing up for Torah.Global updates we will send you Administrative and Promotional emails. We will send you information regarding your account activity and purchases as well as updates about our products and promotional offers if any purchase is made. You cannot opt-out of Administrative Emails. “Administrative Emails” relate to a User’s activity on the Website, and include emails regarding a particular User’s account, requests or inquiries, and purchases of products and services. In contrast to Administrative Emails, however, you do have a choice with respect to Promotional Emails. Promotional Emails advertise our products and services, including exclusive sales and other offers, and/or the products and services of our Advertisers and Affiliates. If you do not want to receive Promotional Emails from us, you may elect to opt-out of receiving Promotional Emails at any time after registering by e-mailing us at admin@www.torah.global, by writing to us at the address contained herein, or by hitting the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of any of our e-mails. When contacting us, please indicate your name, address, email address, and what Promotional Emails you do not want to receive.
7. Security of Information
We take security seriously and take numerous precautions to protect the security of Personally Identifiable Information. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we employ commercially reasonable security measures to protect data and seek to partner with companies which do the same, we cannot guarantee the security of any information transmitted to or from the Website, and are not responsible for the actions of any third parties that may receive any such information.
8. Data Tracking
Cookies. To facilitate and customize your experience with the Website, we store cookies on your computer. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a User’s computer for record- keeping purposes which contains information about that User. We use cookies to save you time while using the Website, remind us who you are, and track and target User interests in order to provide a customized experience. Cookies also allow us to collect Non-Personally Identifiable Information from you, like which pages you visited and what links you clicked on. Use of this information helps us to create a more user-friendly experience for all visitors. In addition, we may use Third Party Advertising Companies to display advertisements on our Website.
